Back To School.

Not me! THE KIDLETS!! YAYAYAYAY!
I'm very happy that the kidders are headed back to school this morning. Not that I don't love having them around constantly quibbling and demanding me and more of my time. The holidays have been great. But seriously, six weeks is a long time with three kids and no entertainment budget. We've made out okay I guess, spent alot of time doing arts n crafts, and baking. I know they're ready to go back to school too. Even though I've been informed that Boyo has the second meanest teacher at the school. Poor Chook has the first. hehe. I wonder if I will be told (again) that Boyo should be moved up a class. (Aint gonna happen. - he's already the youngest in fourth grade. he doesn't need to be moved up with even older kids.) So yea, the point of this post is to say :

Welcome back sanity. I've missed you. :)

Happy Birthday Jelly Bean!

Dear Jelly Bean,

You are three today! You've grown so darn quickly it saddens me somewhat, but I am extremely happy of the person you are becoming. I made you a beautiful Mickey Mouse cake which was wonderful! You love him so much. Unfortunately you weren't thrilled about eating him though.

You start ballet tonight! You've been so excited about it, have dressed up in your leotard and tights every day for the past week. The chook is just as excited about you attending her dance school. You also start three year old kindergarten on Friday.

You are amazing. You are the most independant and clever girl. You calmly state to anyone who asks 'who are you? / what's your name? '

"I am Sammy Jelly Bean, and I'm the Queen of the world."

I guess you are queen of our world, the big kids dote on you, and pretty much do anything you want. Daddy is just as bad. Don't look at me like that baby-girl, I'm your momma and I invented that look.

You're very clever ya know. You know your numbers, can write and spell your name, know our address and alot of other things. You don't like to pack up your toys, rather preferring to have them all over the place where you can see each and every one.

You are loved very much. I'm often reduced to a blubbery soft momma goo pile when you come running up for a 'huggie'. My baby girl, when you curl up in my arms I see you as my newborn but you're very definately not. You just keep getting bigger and bigger, and when I ask you to stop you say 'I'll try, momma.' And I know you will, because you love me as much as I love you. However, I don't really want you to stop growing and am glad you have no control over it. I love the person you are morphing into, and I love being here to share in this journey.

I love you beanie.
